Salary £22,000 – 26,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience (plus pension at 7% rising to 9%)

A unique opportunity to be part of the largest river restoration of its kind in Europe.

We are looking for an enthusiastic new team member with a background in volunteer management to join our ambitious and internationally important project – Unlocking the Severn. You will be responsible for planning and delivering an innovative programme of volunteering activities to enthuse, inform and involve communities in the protection of River Severn and its migrating fish species.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and effective communicator who is passionate about nature conservation and scientific research, and can inspire others to take part and contribute. You will have experience leading events and supporting volunteers, and also have good knowledge of conservation and ecology.

This job involves regulated activity with children. Therefore, an Enhanced Criminal Record check will be undertaken by the successful candidate prior to employment.

A criminal record is not necessarily a bar to employment with us. Decisions will be made on a case by case basis with support of HR specialists.
