Ireland Development Manager – The Rivers Trust
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and dynamic individual to support the development of Rivers Trusts across the Republic of Ireland.
Reporting to the All-Ireland Director and working closely with the Commercial Director, the role will involve supporting existing rivers trusts across Ireland, to enable them to diversify income streams and deliver more improvements to their catchment areas, at greater scale, as well as supporting the development of new Rivers Trusts.
Our ambition is to establish The Rivers Trust as a registered charity in the Republic of Ireland and develop the support and services we provide to Irish Rivers Trusts; as well as quadruple the current collective turnover of the Rivers Trust movement across Ireland and the UK between 2020 and 2025. The role will involve developing new income and revenue streams for The Rivers Trust and trusts across Ireland.
The Ireland Development Manager will work alongside two Regional Development Managers in Great Britain and will work as a team, sharing best practice and supporting the trusts with the development of business models, strategic opportunities, and project management processes.
You should ideally have excellent people and project management skills, and some commercial experience. You will also have a strong commitment to restoration of the water environment and a good understanding of environmental issues, environmental NGOs, government agencies and consultancies.
