Tresillian River

TR2 4AW

SW 86903 47023

Join us on the morning of March the 3rd to help rejuvenate a section of the Tresillian river.

Full of trout and even sea trout, the Tresillian flows into the Fal estruary, Truro. This section is a little too over grown and in need of some love. Westcountry Rivers Trust staff will be on hand to share some of their riparian habitat knowledge and get you involved in improving the river for fish and invertebrates.

All equipment will be provided and training where necessary.

This is also a Westcountry Angling Passport fishing beat so we encourage seasoned users of the scheme and prospective anglers to come along and help improve some of the access. A free days fishing is available for any volunteer.

Some refreshments will be provided, but please bring what you need; Water, food and appropriate clothing for the weather.

We look forward to seeing you.

Any questions please email bruno@wrt.org.uk

Directions

From St Austell take the A390 to Truro. Pass through Grampound and at the next roundabout take the first left to Truro. Continue for 3 miles and cross over the Tresillian River and take the first right and continue for approx.0.3 miles. With the cemetery on your left enter through the gateway on the right (with ornamental metal gates you will have to open and close behind you). Proceed along the track and park up by the box on the left hand side. Walk down to the river through the rush pasture or along the path leading upstream.
