Are you passionate about our rivers and the surrounding wildlife within the river corridor?
Do you want to help monitor and record invertebrate life living within our rivers that are necessary food source of fish, birds and bats?
Would you like to know what the water quality is like and help keep an eye out for pollution events?

Book yourself on to our next River Guardian training day…
Places are strictly limited and will be on a first come basis, so book early to avoid disappointment!

You will be trained to carry out Riverfly Kick Sampling. Water Quality testing and Pollution monitoring and provided with all the equipment needed in exchange for a minimum of 1 Kick Sample and Water Quality test per month.

Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather on the day and bring along a packed lunch. Please bring waders (thigh or chest) or a pair of wellies.

Free parking is available within the Fire Station grounds to the rear of the building.
Training will commence at 10am.
