This event follows 2019’s ‘Marbles to Monsters’ sharing event in Cumbria, organised & hosted by Eden Rivers Trust, which offered a new opportunity for Rivers Trust staff to share creativity, discuss challenges and celebrate successes in community engagement across our network.

This year the sharing event will be hosted by Don Catchment Rivers Trust in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. The event is FREE, including lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

The event will include:

Presentations from DCRT

• Living Heritage Why community engagement is central to conservation success

• Citizen science: raising the profile of wildlife Overview of citizen science, plus the wonders & challenges of camera trapping

• Youth ownership on an urban river How murals can be used to create better, safer spaces for all.

Presentations from other Rivers Trusts

Community Cinema

• Showcasing film & media projects

• Engaging Evaluation with Heritage Insider

• Make a Mural: Stencils & Spray-painting

A chance to network with people from other Rivers Trusts and demonstrate your own resources and outreach tools.

Staying the night before? Join us for an evening meal & drinks on Wednesday 29th April. Please note that unfortunatley we cannot cover the costs for this meal.
