Hey up, Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust here. We formed in 1994 and currently have 9 people working a mixture of full-time and part-time. T’main issues int' Yorkshire Dales is they are just too bleedin’ nice…. but in all seriousness, there is a misconception of what a ‘healthy’ river is, it might look nice, but that doesn’t mean it's functioning naturally or clean. We've achieved a lot over the last few years, but there still plenty of things to do. Any rivers keeping us up at night? Probably the Ribble…. Joking, it's great to hear what other local trusts are doing, and some truly inspiring projects happening all over, especially at the Ribble. It’s a really exciting time to be part of the Rivers Trust movement and great to be part of the family. 2019………. Let's just say, watch this space. We hope you all had a cracking year, this photo is the reaction you get when you tell your volunteers there are another 1000 trees to be planted before it gets dark. Why can’t Christmas trees sew?..... because they are always dropping their needles. MERRY CHRISTMAS All! Read more about the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust here.
