HOW BAD ARE

in most cases, there are problems which need tackling now.

We need more data on the state of stocks and the condition of our rivers
from electro fishing, habitat surveys and other data collection.
Micro
tagging provides data on the growth, movement and survival rates of fish
On the bases
of this information we can identify the problems and bottlenecks which
are limiting the number of fish and can choose from a number of options
one which will deal with the particular problem.
The main options we have are:

· improving habitat
· stocking
