IN-RIVER WORKS. In some cases the damage done to the river channel by very excessive overgrazing over a long period – or arterial drainage schemes – is so severe that fencing alone will not cure the problem – at least not in an acceptable time scale.

Here a variety of options is available. Various combinations of logs, conifer tree tops and rocks can be used to stabilize banks and restore the natural channel form.
