Community Engagement Officer
Eden Rivers Trust is looking for an experienced community engagement officer who can hit the ground running for the final six-month phase of our Heritage Lottery funded Cherish Eden project.
The successful candidate will deliver a number of discrete projects and play a key role, alongside other Cherish Eden project team members, in supporting activities associated with our final project – a major exhibition taking place at Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery this summer.
We are looking for someone with the ability to engage with and motivate a variety of groups and individuals, as well as proven experience of developing and delivering community engagement projects.
Cherish Eden is a multi-faceted project that celebrates the Eden River catchment and has been encouraging new audiences to learn about their local river environment and help to conserve it. Focusing on the riverine landscape from Kirkby Stephen to Carlisle, this £2.3 million programme has connected local people with the natural and cultural heritage of the area.
